West Bengal Joint Entrance Lateral Engineering Test (WB JELET) is conducted for admission to the second year (third semester) of Bachelor's Degree courses in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy except for Architecture in the government and private colleges of West Bengal.

Marking Scheme  

  Category I - 1 mark will be given for every correct answer. ¼ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

  Category II - 2 marks will be allotted for marking all correct options. For any combination of answers containing one or more incorrect options, the said answer will be treated as incorrect, and it will yield zero. For partially      correct answers, i.e., when all correct options are not marked and also no incorrect options are marked, then the marks awarded will be = 2 x (no of correct options marked/total number of actually correct options).

JELET 2022 Admit Card

The admission authority has released the JELET admit card 2022 for eligible candidates online. Candidates can now download their admit card by using their login credentials. The admit card is important for appearing in the exam. While reporting to the exam centre, the candidates will have to produce their admit card along with their identity card. 


JELET 2022 Application Form

The authorities have ended the JELET 2022 application form correction facility. By using this facility, candidates were able to modify the details filled in the application form. The process of filling out the JELET application form 2022 has closed. The application form had to be filled with correct personal, academic and communication details. Only the candidates who submitted the JELET application form before the final date will be eligible for the entrance examination. While filling out the application form of JELET 2022, the candidates also had to select their preferred exam centres. 


JELET 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the JELET eligibility criteria before applying for the examination. Candidates should meet the criteria such as the qualifying exam, age limit, percentage, etc. The eligibility criteria for different streams are different. Check the eligibility criteria of JELET 2022 below.

Eligibility criteria for Diploma holder candidates

  • Candidates should have passed diploma with at least 45% (40% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned branch from AICTE approved institute or university
  • For admission to Jadavpur University, candidates should have obtained 60% aggregate (45% for reserved category) or equivalent CGPA in the concerned branch from AICTE approved institute or university
  • There is no upper age limit for diploma holders
  • For diploma holders in Pharmacy seeking admission into the degree course in Pharmacy: Candidates will also be eligible for admission to the first year in case the vacancies in the second year (lateral entry) exhausted

Eligibility criteria for BSc holder candidates

  • Candidates should have passed BSc from a recognized institute with a 45% aggregate (40% for reserved category)
  • Candidates should have completed Class 12 with Mathematics as the main subject
  • If candidates got admission then they have clear Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Graphics/Drawing along with the second year subjects
  • BSc holder candidates are not eligible for admission to the Pharmacy course
  • BSc holder candidates are also not eligible for admission to Jadavpur University

Eligibility criteria for both Diploma and BSc holder candidates

  • Candidates will also be eligible for admission to the first year of the Engineering programme if the seats in first-year remain vacant and the vacancies in the second year (lateral entry) exhausted
  • However, candidates have to meet the above-mentioned eligibility criteria


JELET 2022 Syllabus

WBJEEB has released the official JELET syllabus 2022 online. Candidates can now check the subjects, topics and units that have to be studied for the entrance examination through the syllabus of JELET 2022. There is a higher chance of scoring well if the candidate has checked and understood the syllabus before commencing their preparation process.


JELET 2022 Exam Pattern

Candidates can check the JELET exam pattern 2022 to know how the entrance examination will be conducted. The details such as the exam mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more will be released through the exam pattern of JELET 2022. The authorities will conduct JELET 2022 as a pen-and-paper-based test. 


JELET 2022 Result 

WB JELET 2022 result will be declared online tentatively in the final week of May. Candidates will be able to check the JELET 2022 result from the official website. The admission authority will not share the result through email or post.


JELET 2022 Counselling

Candidates who will qualify the exam will be eligible for appearing in counselling. JELET 2022 counselling will be conducted in online mode. In the counselling, candidates will exercise registration, choice filling, seat allotment, document verification, fee payment, etc.
